Bob Hartley

I'm a retired Art Teacher (35yrs) who grew up in Muncie and spent much of his early childhood Downtown, as my mother was advertising manager for Ball Stores Department store on the corner of Walnut and Charles.  My mother had an MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago.  I grew up with an interst in the arts and attended BSU to earn a BS and MA in Art Ed and Fine Arts.

After retiring from Muncie Community Schools I decided I wanted to be part of the Downtown Revitalization and opened the Artist Within with my wife Vicki.  The Artist Within is a contemporary paint your own pottery studio located at 313 S. Walnut Street.  Our studio also has an art gallery and sales area for local artists to exhibit and sell their work.
