[1]This is a few weeks old, but still worth a plug. Philadelphia band Soraia [2] came through Muncie (twice) on their December tour and wrote about their love of our humble town in their MySpace blog [3]. Read on [4] for quotes.

Well, here we go yesterday---after a beauteous raw dirty hot smoky sexy show in Chicago, IL Friday night--one which made Sue entirely too weakened to blog about--and left for Muncie, IN to go to Doc's Music Hall [5] for a late LATE night gig. Our set time was 220 am...yep---they stay open til 3, but they happened to stay open til 330 this night---and here's why: IT WAS THE BEST SHOW EVER YET TO DATE. I wrote in caps cause I'm still really feelin' it...huge stage, aliiiiive club---fuckin' class A place...plenty of cooooool cool people---really easy to talk to ---and really into music and the scene it brings---this place---from arrival at 11 pm IN time...was a blast. The bands were all amazing---this one really floated my boat, though---"Know More Robots [6]"...ADD EM....Indiana band---we're hoping to be bringing them here soon when they get on the road---you'll LOVE them. Anyway---WOW---what a night---felt like rockstars. Phantom Watson [7] asked us to stop back again and play another show on Tuesday after our Indianapolis show on Monday night---and of course...we will be there...can't wait. One more thing...for those of you in the k-n-o-w....Muncie, Indiana is actually the former home of the Muncie Transmission Plant: a place of extreme notoriety to all those who owned muscle cars in the 60's and 70's. Everyone who owned a muscle car then demanded a Muncie custom 4 speed. In fact, even if you lived in a place of many, many hills...you demanded a Muncie 4 speed transmission. Why? Because you had balls. So, a toast to the old Muncie Transmission Plant.
So, here it is--Sunday night---and I think we are planning on going bowling with our near, dear Chicago friends who have let us crash on their floor and invade their lives for three days/two nights now. They are very patient and admirable people...obviously:) We love them---Anna even came with us all the way bto Muncie--a four hour ride last night---to help us with merch and promo--now that's midwestern love like no other:) OK, this is getting way to long--we hit the road for Indianapolis tomorrow with a show at Birdy's [8] tomorrow night. Hope to see you IN cats there--and a bright hello and miss you to our friends and fans at home--we'll be home soon. We're having the time of our lives...

Well, this guy';s gotta be a bit short cause I somehow managed to miss an alarm clock and gotta get outta didge---well--Indiana --and get to Chicago for our gig tonight. That being the case, I'll keep it brief. Sorry for the slacking on Monday night's Birdy's gig---wasn't feeling too well with all the cold weather-I think it finally got me! Alas, Birdy's in Indiana is a fucking cool ass place...great stage and sound---definitely want to get back there again. Being a Monday---we had a small---yet VITAL--crowd. It was much fun and we met some new people which made us smiiiiiile. Tuesday, as you may recall from a previous blog---back to MUNCIE, IN...the place that now holds the key to our hearts. For a rainy Tuesday night--we were blown away by the size and A-LIVE-NESS of the crowd yet AGAIN. MAN...these kinda crowds just usually don't happen on a Tuesday night on tour the second time you play a place. But Muncie...my love...you are so different. You are beautiful, and all you guys out last night and Saturday ---very simply: we love you deeply. Don't you forget about us..we'll be back soon. We'll most likely be back the weekend of January 26, 2008...we'll be playing a festival down the street and also another Doc's gig as well as one more in town. Muncie weekend I'll acall it. Back to Chicago--Joe's gotta use the computer to find a place to fix his amp--bye guys! SEE YOU IN CHICAGO TONIGHT!!!:
We love you too, Soraia!
